For nearly all patients, blepharoplasty rejuvenates the eye area through surgical removal of excess skin and fat. Depending on what a patient hopes to accomplish through surgery, blepharoplasty may be a candidate's best option. What is the healing time following eyelid surgery?

After a blepharoplasty procedure, most patients will observe minimal swelling or bruising that will subside within 7-14 days. Although light activity can be resumed just a couple days after the procedure, more strenuous activities should be resumed as per Dr. Lewis's directions.
